We are geologists!
Peter Dalrymple (PDalrymple) on: Year 3 Class Blog
This week in science we started our new topic on 'Rocks and Soils'. We began by looking at natural rocks and exploring what is meant by igneous, sedimentary and metamorphic tocks. The children learnt how the different rocks are formed (which they were very excited about!!) and then they explored their properties. The lesson over ran as they were very interested in finding out more!
Happy Christmas!

Miss Jackson, Miss McNamara and I would like to say a huge thank you to you all for your generous gifts, cards and kind words this Christmas. Your children are an absolute joy to teach and they have all worked incredibly hard this term- we are extremely proud of them. Wishing you all a wonderful Christmas, filled with memories and family time. Thank you once again. See you in 2024!
Christmas Party!

We had a fabulous Christmas party on Thursday!
Pneumatic toys
Peter Dalrymple (PDalrymple) on: Year 3 Class Blog
We completed our DT project this week on pneumatic toys. The children learnt to create their own pneumatic mechanisms, decorate their own toy and evaluate their final product. There was a lot of peer support, creativity, a messy classroom but most of all, a lot of fun! It was lovely to end the term with something creative. We hope they have given you a demonstration at home!
Christmas Jumper Day!

On Thursday, we all enjoyed a delicious Christmas lunch as a school, as well as wearing our Christmas jumpers. Thank you for all the donations parents have made to the ‘Save the Children’ charity.
