SIAMS Report
As a Church of England school, Adel St John the Baptist C of E Primary School is subject to regular SIAMS (Statutory Inspection of Anglican and Methodist Schools) inspections, alongside OFSTED inspections under Section 48 of the Education Act 2005.
SIAMS inspections focus on the school’s Christian vision and its impact on the whole school community. They also evaluate the quality of collective worship and religious education (RE).
The core purpose of a SIAMS inspection is to assess the distinctiveness and effectiveness of the school as a church school. Inspectors follow a single overarching question:
"How effective is the school’s distinctive Christian vision, established and promoted by leadership at all levels, in enabling pupils and adults to flourish?"
Our most recent inspection was June 2022
