Welcome to Year 3
Miss Riches is our class teacher, supported part time by Mrs Pullan, and Mrs Starkey will cover PPA time.
PE days will be Tuesday and Wednesday (swimming).
The first swimming session is Wednesday 16th September.
Reading books will be collected in on a Thursday and sent home on a Thursday.
Spellings will be sent home on a Wednesday and tested on Wednesday.
Mental arithmetic will be tested on a Wednesday.
Please make sure water bottles are brought in each day and pumps are in school for each child.

Ancient Greece, here we come!

This week has seen the start of our Ancient Greece topic and so far, we have had a great start! The children have found out lots of Greek vocabulary, collaborated on a research task and started to think about Greek city states. It's been a busy week of Easter treats - cards, cushions and church...and even some colourings with a SPAG theme this afternoon! Time to switch off and enjoy some Spring sunshine. Have a Happy Easter, everyone!

The children were unlucky enough to be locked in the stock room during our science lesson on Friday afternoon! They had to solve clues about magnets to get themselves out - fortunately most did..!
What a Talented Bunch!

After a very busy week, we were all excited to see what talent the children had to offer this afternoon, and what a brilliant afternoon it was! From the Year 3s, we've seen dancers, poets, gymnasts, an artist and a magician! Thank you to all who entered and well done for being brave and brilliant!
Class Collective Worship

On Wednesday, the children put on an amazing job with their collective worship! I was so sorry to not be able to be there but Miss Jackson was really proud of the children for how clearly they spoke, their beautiful singing and the clear message about forgiveness they passed on. Well done to everybody!
