In science this week Year 1 have been exploring their five senses. We had lots of fun trying to do different tasks using only our sense of touch!

Year 1 had a brilliant time learning about what lives in our gardens at RHS Harlow Carr last week. They enjoyed hunting for minibeasts, planting seeds and playing on the adventure playground!

Numbers to 100

This week in maths we have started looking at numbers from 50 to 100. The children worked really well, counting forwards and backwards from different starting points and completing number tracks.
Health and Wellbeing Week

What a busy week we have had for Health and Wellbeing Week! Year 1 have taken part in Sports Day, a skipping workshop, a calming yoga session, a running challenge and lots of PSHE including a focus on sun safety. Today we were thinking about healthy food and enjoyed making a delicious and healthy Greek salad. Most of the children enjoyed tasting it too!
