It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas in Year 1! We were very proud of the whole class for their fantastic performances of the Fireside Nativity. We hope you all enjoyed the show!
Practical Maths

Year 1 have been simply the best at addition this week, using cubes and ten frames to solve some tricky word problems. They really impressed me with their reading of the problems, too. Well done Year 1!
Wet Playtime!

It's been wet wet wet recently, and yesterday afternoon during yet another rainy playtime, we got the construction toys out. Year 1 had a great time working collaboratively and produced some very impressive creations!
"Spirited Art"

As part of Interfaith Week, we have been creating 'spirited art' inspired by the Christian value of peace. Year 1 used their painting, drawing, cutting and sticking skills to create their beautiful artwork. 
Interfaith Day

We had a brilliant day today on our Interfaith Day. Year 1 were separated into different classes for the day, each group including a mix of Years 1-6. Each 'class' moved around six different classrooms, learning about a different faith in each. Year 1 were able to share lots of new learning and worked really well with the older children.
