Please bring in pumps, wellies and spare clothes to leave in the cloakroom.
Please bring in water bottles, yellow reading records and appropriate outdoor clothing for the weather each day.
Please return all reading books on Thursdays.

A grest second week in Year 1. We have a new rug with a leaf for each of us to sit on. We enjoyed representing numbers with counters on our ten frames in maths. We also had a lovely time exploring the new reception outdoor area!

Welcome back to school, Year one have had a lovely first week in their new classroom. It was great to see so many of you at the information evening last night!

From all of us in Year 1, we wish you all a happy, healthy and hopefully sunny summer holiday! We will miss our Year 1s but know that they are ready to thrive in Year 2, though not before a well deserved rest! Thank you all so much for your generosity with gifts and your support over the year - it really makes a difference and we are very grateful. Running Out of Time!

This week, we have been continuing our maths learning about time and the children have been learning to read a stop watch in hours, minutes and seconds. We decided to have some running races in the sunshine, timing each other, and working out who was fastest! There was no chance we were going to use the hours section of the timers because everyone was super fast(!) but we had great fun and the classwork afterwards showed the children had understood their learning really well!
