Please bring in pumps, wellies and spare clothes to leave in the cloakroom.
Please bring in water bottles, yellow reading records and appropriate outdoor clothing for the weather each day.
Please return all reading books on Thursdays.

Getting ready for sports day

Another busy week in Year 1, we have loved writing animal factfiles about arctic foxes. We have been having a go at the different activities we will be taking part in on sports day. We are looking forward to healthy living week next week- no spellings for healthy living week.

Welcome back to our final half term inYear 1. We have been developing our motor skills this week as we begin learning to join letters in handwriting. We have enjoyed hearing some of our friends read a story to the class as well!

This week we have enjoyed using different paper techniques to create bird sculptures. We also enjoyed celebrating our non uniform day for the most children walking, biking or rolling to school!

We enjoyed our PE lesson this week working on out techniques for throwing, including javelin. Our class had the most children walking biking and rolling on Wednesday, thank you for your support. We will be enjoying an extra playtime and a non uniform day on Friday 16th May. In art we explored ways of manipulating paper ready for making our bird sculptures.
