Welcome to Year 3
Miss Riches is our class teacher, supported part time by Mrs Pullan, and Mrs Starkey will cover PPA time.
PE days will be Tuesday and Wednesday (swimming).
The first swimming session is Wednesday 16th September.
Reading books will be collected in on a Thursday and sent home on a Thursday.
Spellings will be sent home on a Wednesday and tested on Wednesday.
Mental arithmetic will be tested on a Wednesday.
Please make sure water bottles are brought in each day and pumps are in school for each child.

Black History Month

We’ve had a great time learning about some amazing people during Black History Month. The children have got to know about the achievements of Matthew Henson, Simone Biles and Floella Benjamin. Perhaps they could tell you some of the things they remember over half term and why they are so significant! Have a lovely half term and see you back at school in November!
P.S There are no spellings over half term but I have set Mathletics as some practice of column subtraction would really support the children in class.
