Welcome to Year 3
Miss Riches is our class teacher, supported part time by Mrs Pullan, and Mrs Starkey will cover PPA time.
PE days will be Tuesday and Wednesday (swimming).
The first swimming session is Wednesday 16th September.
Reading books will be collected in on a Thursday and sent home on a Thursday.
Spellings will be sent home on a Wednesday and tested on Wednesday.
Mental arithmetic will be tested on a Wednesday.
Please make sure water bottles are brought in each day and pumps are in school for each child.

Statistics in Maths

In maths today, Year 3 have been collecting data and representing their findings in bar charts and pictograms. There was a real buzz in the classroom and lots of collaboration and team work happening. We discussed methodical and effective ways to collect data especially when there was a time limit on the activity. All the children got involved, building on their skills in each of the 4 activities. Super maths learning today, Year 3!
