Welcome to Spring Term in Year 3!
Miss Jackson will be teaching on Mondays and Tuesdays, and Miss Christie will be teaching on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays; Mrs McDonald and Mrs Pullan will be our teaching assistants.

Rounding Off Another Week

Another hot and busy week in Year 3 has come and gone! We've been writing for pleasure, telling the time and drawing some Dogman* characters using our super art skills! We also managed to choose the only non-sunny afternoon for our rounders lesson yesterday! However, it was good fun and the breeze helped cool people down after racing to score a rounder! Don't be practising too hard for the 2028 Year 6 vs. Staff match, please children!
*Dogman is certainly a class favourite at the moment and it's great to see the children so eager to read. Whilst we don't want to stilt the children's enthusiasm, please try to encourage your child to read a range of different types of book to support their vocabulary and comprehension, which we will also be encouraging in school.
A letter has gone home tonight about spellings - please ensure you have all 3 parts and let us know if there are any queries in time for the first week back.
There has also been a letter go home about Forest Schools. Your child should have a yellow highlighted letter or a blue highlighted letter which indicates their group. Again, if there are any queries, let Miss Jackson or me know.
