Welcome to Year 3
Miss Riches is our class teacher, supported part time by Mrs Pullan, and Mrs Starkey will cover PPA time.
PE days will be Tuesday and Wednesday (swimming).
The first swimming session is Wednesday 16th September.
Reading books will be collected in on a Thursday and sent home on a Thursday.
Spellings will be sent home on a Wednesday and tested on Wednesday.
Mental arithmetic will be tested on a Wednesday.
Please make sure water bottles are brought in each day and pumps are in school for each child.

Arctic Adventure Stories!

The children have all really enjoyed creating their own endings to our class read ‘The Last Bear’ and we have some real budding authors in year 3! All of the children worked really hard on their stories from planning their ending, writing a draft, editing and then publishing their final copy. We hope you all enjoyed reading some of them on our wonderful display on Parent Consultation Evenings
Finally, thank you to all of you who attended our consultation meetings last week. It was wonderful to meet you all in person and share the great progress all of the children have made since starting in year 3.
