Welcome to Year 3
Miss Riches is our class teacher, supported part time by Mrs Pullan, and Mrs Starkey will cover PPA time.
PE days will be Tuesday and Wednesday (swimming).
The first swimming session is Wednesday 16th September.
Reading books will be collected in on a Thursday and sent home on a Thursday.
Spellings will be sent home on a Wednesday and tested on Wednesday.
Mental arithmetic will be tested on a Wednesday.
Please make sure water bottles are brought in each day and pumps are in school for each child.

Practical Maths

This week in Maths we have been looking at addition across 10s and 100s. It has been quite a tricky concept to understand but the children have all shown great resilience and it has been wonderful to see those lightbulb moments! We have been using Base 10 in class to help us which is always available for the children to access for support. We need to keep practising counting in 10s across 10 and 100 so any extra work on this at home would be brilliant e.g. 88, 98, 108, 118, 128 etc.
