Welcome to Year 3
Miss Riches is our class teacher, supported part time by Mrs Pullan, and Mrs Starkey will cover PPA time.
PE days will be Tuesday and Wednesday (swimming).
The first swimming session is Wednesday 16th September.
Reading books will be collected in on a Thursday and sent home on a Thursday.
Spellings will be sent home on a Wednesday and tested on Wednesday.
Mental arithmetic will be tested on a Wednesday.
Please make sure water bottles are brought in each day and pumps are in school for each child.

Character Drama

This week we have been continuing with our class read ‘The Last Bear’ which we have been using in our sentence stacking lessons in English. To help us with our writing, we carried out some drama based on the character’s feelings. We created a ‘thought alley’ where the children whispered positive and negative thoughts into the character’s ears to help her come to a decision in the story.
